Auto Active specialises in the rebuilding, restoration, track day preparation and sales, of the world renowned Datsun Z series cars. Specifically, the early 240Z, 260Z and 280ZX. The company was established in 2000.

1970 lightweight 240Z, Vin number: 190
Right hand drive, Australian, rust free import. Now modified in our workshop specifically as a track day car, presented as a Japanese home market Fairlady replica.

Vehicle specification:-

Engine and Ignition: N42 Block, flat top pistons, E88 head, gas flowed, ported and polished, with big 280ZX valves. High lift cam, balanced crank, lightened and balanced flywheel, 280ZX clutch. Electronic ignition, oil cooler, large capacity three core radiator, Kenlow electric fan. Baffeled sump and Mocal catch tank. Reduction gear starter, Facet fuel pump, fuel regulator, lightweight battery with Autolec master switch. Triple 45 DCOE Weber carbs. GDS six into two into one exhaust manifold with 1 5/8" primary tubes and two silencer (Jetex) 2 1/2" diameter system.

Suspension and Brakes: Neoprene bushes all round. Struts modified with threaded collars, lowering platforms and Koni shock absorbers. Neoprene bumpstops (car lowered approx. 2 1/2"). Vented discs, four pot calipers, braided hoses and copper brake pipes. Competition pads and shoes. Z-Zone strut braces front and rear. 260Z anti-roll bars. Genuine 14" x 7" 'Enkie' alloys with sticky 205 Bridgestone tyres.

Other: Safety Devices roll cage. Cobra bucket seats. Full harness and fire extinguisher. Deep front spoiler with brake ducts and louvered bonnet.

Vehicles are acquired to break for spares or restoration, however, any car which has the remotest chance of being rebuilt is never broken - they are now so rare that company policy is to save as many as possible.

The company supports the 'Z Club' and the 'Classic Z register'.

All work is considered from the enthusiast's point of view and completed to the highest standard.
